Home Page I was talking with a friend of mine (we'll call her Pat) and she said that there was no way that a "nice" girl would even think of sending me E-mail with all those nasty jokes and stuff that are on this web site. "But I didn't write the stuff I just posted it and laughed at it", I protested. "That doesn't matter.......you look like a real "crude" person without culture". Hmmmmm "What to do?" I asked Pat. "Poetry", she said. "Put some poetry on your site to try and redeem yourself.", she explained.

"Poetry, you've got to be kidding......I'd rather give up my remote control than post poetry on my site", I complained. "Besides the only poetry I know starts ...There once was a man from Nantucket"........ Do you want to attract "that special lady"?, she asked. "Yea, that's the point of all this", I replied. "Poetry", she said again.

Pat provided me with some poetry that she liked. I looked over it and posted what I liked for your review......After all I've got to do something to earn that first E-mail. Please give it a read and let me know what you think.

UNKNOWNS

Have you ever entered a blind alley
frightened
of what's waiting at the other end.
That's what I feel
loving you.
The thrill of the waiting unknown
has grown
inside of me
forcing me on.
I hope there's an opening
at the other end
that we can squeeze through
without hurting each other
in passing.

My Friends

I consider you my friends
Although we've never met
You've managed to touch my heart
Through this thing called 'The Net'

You've been there for me
When I've needed someone
How can I ever thank you
For all that you've done

When I've needed a shoulder
A prayer, a hug or an ear
You have been there for me
Like we've been friends for years

I don't quite understand it
Us meeting as cyber-friends
But I feel God had a hand in it
In order for me to mend

I prefer not to use it
This term 'cyber-friend'
I'll leave off the 'cyber'
And just call you friend

I feel I must thank you
For showering me with love
My angels right here on earth
Sent from Heaven above

~ THE DAY WE MET ~

Your voice broke the silence of loneliness
Which filled my world before you came
Your face lit up my world of darkness
I hope mine did for yours the same
Your eyes, your smile, I will never forget
They glide across the sky like a bright comet
You did wonders to my heart and mind
And never will another love I find.

A poem from Mother Theresa:

The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace.

"Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love,
time is eternity."

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost
