Desperate?

Well, first lets define the word "desperate" as it applies to the situation. I suspect the term is meant to be condescending. It implies that I am so "hard up" for a date that I have to go to the trouble of advertising and creating a web site just to find someone to go out with. Maybe it is because I am ugly, stupid, ill mannered or something else undesirable. Furthermore, some people cannot understand how I can broadcast this "issue" of mine to the whole world. I was once asked why I couldn't find a lady the "traditional way"?
I'd say that these people are jealous of my clever idea! I must say that the "traditional way" leads to a 50% divorce rate. Furthermore, just what is the traditional way anyhow? Is there such a thing? As for broadcasting to the whole world.....well, I have nothing to hide because I speak the truth. In the end the truth always wins. The bottom line is that I am looking for my "Greatlady" not just a date. As such, I am not desperate as defined above.
What I am is a guy who likes choices, is very picky and wants to get to know ladies as friends. Ultimately, a successful and happy marriage is based upon a solid friendship. This is what I am going for. The web site lets ladies decide for themselves if I would be someone they would like to become friends with. I don't consider myself ugly, ill mannered, stupid or undesirable at all. And yes, I do meet women the "traditional way". More often than not this turns out to be a waste of time because we are not compatible.
I am well aware that some of the content on my web site may indeed turn a few ladies off. This is a good thing. Extreme Bible thumpers and self righteous folks need not apply. My web site acts as a filter and I love that. I realize that the Outhouse contains some raunchy material. A few people have told me that I will never find a nice girl this way. I disagree. My greatlady will understand that I am not a "pervert" just because I like to laugh. I don't even expect her to laugh at all that stuff. She just needs to understand what I'll laugh at and why and she must be tolerant of it. If I created a website that pleased everyone, no one would like it!
One other thing while you are reading. Some people (mainly guys) think that all I get from this are "fat and ugly" women cause they don't have any other choice. No doubt, there is truth in their words. The facts don't hold up though. I get a cross section of the population. Some are as stated but some aren't. :) I am really interested in a lady who can think and who understands what I am doing and why. I am pretty sure that a physically fit lady is mandatory only because I lead an active lifestyle and I want her to share that with me. As for ugly....beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I am in possession of several nice pictures and have phone numbers to boot. :)
